What acne treatment works the best?
i’ve had acne since i was 12yrs. old i am now 18yrs, ive used alot of acne treatments and none of them work, i have oily skin, pimples everywhere and left over acne scars. i just want to know which treatment works the best, ive heard proactive doesn’t really work, ive heard of Skin iD, and Murad. if you tried any of those products let me know if they really work? or if you know of other ones that would really work?

putting tooth paste of it helps dry it then it goes a way no joke!!!
I use Differin (sp?) which is a topical cream and Ampicillin which is a pill. My skin used to be bad but since I’ve been taking those it cleared up in about a month! They are both prescription so you have to go see a dermatologist to get them.
The “Oval” soap, the really really really cheap soap and the PURPLE clean and clear that comes out in FOAM (they’re hard to find, target sometimes has it). Washing my face with this combination twice a day finally got rid of my acne after years and years of trying.
Toothpaste doesn’t really work, and if it does, only for some people. It can actually irritate the skin and cause more acne. Your best bet would be to go to your doctor and have him/her recommend you something for your skin type.
I’ve had the same problem as you, I know how you feel. I tried proactive about 3-4 years ago but it didn’t work for me. It made my sensitive skin way too dry, but that was before they had the green tea moisturizer. After I tried a lot of over the counter products which I wouldn’t reccomend you doing. Then I went to a dermatologist and he prescibed me differin. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now? It works pretty well and deffinatly doesn’t leave your skin dry.
Another tip for clear skin besides products is taking care of yourself. Make sure you are eating healthy foods and exercising. Believe it or not, it can help improve your skin too. Drinking lots of water also helps. I tend to put some crystal light skin essenials into my water once a day and have seen an improvement in my skin. Getting more sleep also helps. I’ve been taking naps often and have also seen a significant improvement in my skin.
Try Grandpa’s Sulfer Soap!!! Look it up. (Plus it’s super cheap!)
Also make sure it has nothing to do with the phone you hold on your face or any products you use in your hair and make sure your pillow is always clean
AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER!
