look, i hate acne just as much as the rest of us, but thanks to my parents wonderful genes, i have cystic acne, and its really not bad anymore, but sometimes i get these cycst-like pimples that WILL NOT GO AWAY and they are so f***ing embarrassing, because they’re so deep that they cant even really be covered up. theyre like little hills, and even having one is just absolutely disgusting. does anyone else have this issue? im not talking about the kind of acne you can pop and et rid of, and surface treatments like proactive dont work, because these are deep in the pore. does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of these a little bit more quickly? waiting on these takes weeks sometimes, even when i wash my face a ton and exfoliate. thank you and God Bless!!
owwww, it really hurts, I don’t need a treatment, I already went to the dermatologist for that. it all started when I started using proactiv and it gave me cystic acne. Can I sue?
and second, is there something I can do to numb it? and can I cover it up with a thick layer of makeup?
This isn’t me and mine isn’t as bad, but this is what it looks like:

well I looked it up, and saw that many people had gotten cystic acne from using proactiv, and when I told my aunts what had happen they said the same thing had happened to them after using proactive.. so I’m pretty sure that’s what it was, and very rarely do people get cystic acne naturally…
and I went to the dermatologist after using proactiv/getting cystic acne. But I do have another appointment coming up. But this type of acne doesn’t go away soon or easily.

I will be starting my first treatment of Accutane in less than a month.
I am a little nervous about it, but I am fully dedicated to clearing up my painful cystic acne.
I have tried so many products over the years with no results.
I am so sick and tired of suffering!! My acne is ruining my life, physically and emotionally. I don’t even want to leave my house anymore unless I have pounds of makeup on. When I talk to anyone including friends or family members all i think about is my face and if they are looking at it.
I don’t want to live that way anymore, I have a whole life ahead of me and I don’t want acne to be my main stress in life as it is for me right now.
I am 18 years old going on 19 and have suffered for about 4 years.
My face isn’t as bad as a lot of people out there and I am fortunate for that, but it is very painful and I need a change.
My best friend told me about a situation about placing a hot wet towel over your pimples or painful ones like cystic acne, and I thought it would be maybe a good idea, but not really sure. Has anyone ever done it before? If so, how long do I place the towel on my cystic acne to reducing it and make it better? She told me to do it for about a minute or 3 mins. once a day.
She also told me that it’s better to do it before washing your face to open up the pores to get the acne treatments in more better. Is that true?
I am 25 years old and have always had a bit of an acne problem but since having my daughter (7 months ago) I have had cystic acne that I cannot clear up. I have seen a dermatologist but nothing is helping. I used to take Minocin as a teen and it worked great but for this it is doing nothing. I am also on birth control used for acne treatment (Diane 35) and 2 creams…Differin and benzoclin. Still…nothing. I don’t seem to get any new acne with it but I have had the same cysts for the last 7 months. I do not want to try Accutane…I will not go there as I have heard the worst of the worst. I’d rather have then acne then take that. If you know of anything else that might help please let me know. Thanks so much.
