I have what a dermatologist called ‘milia’ several years ago, & said there wasn’t much to do about it. Gave me Retin A but it didn’t seem to work after several weeks, so I stopped.
Once I hit 40 it’s spreading, instead of just my eye and cheek area it’s pretty much everywhere – mostly very small bumps, not really visible but under the skin, giving a rough overall appearance. Most will extract to a gentle touch, but ‘refill’ and never go away for good. A few are larger and more obvious.
I had some cystic acne in my teens and early 20′s which caused some moderate scarring. For years I’ve thought I’d get dermabrasion or other treatments, once I ‘grew out’ of acne.
Well times’ a wastin! I’m going to a dermatologist next week, but I’d like to know if anyone has this condition and has successfully treated it – and with what. I’d like to have some info to ask the doc about next week. I’m also wondering if I should’ve stuck it out longer with the RetinA
Thanks so much!
