Does this old remedy really work for acne? Honey, asprine, baking soda?
im 16 ive tried everythiing and before i go buy another product (exposed acne treatment) i saw this and wanted to know if this really is all it takes for 100% clear skin
(i have severe acne)
The best acne treatment is a jug of water. I’m serious, you don’t need anything fancy like Fiji water. Just a big bottle of water. Keep it next to you all day and drink 2-3 liters everyday. This helps moisturize your skin and clears out junk from your bloodstream. This will help stop breakouts in the long term.
In the short term, all you need is baking soda, aspirin and honey. Mix the baking soda with a bit of water and lightly massage your face then rinse off. Then crush up the aspirin tablets, mix with a little bit of water and massage onto your face. leave this on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off. Finally, put some honey on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
The combination of the above three will clean pores, dry up breakouts, prevent future breakouts and moisturize your skin. However this is only temporary because as your learn to drink more and more water everyday, your body will start to adjust internally. You’ll start having less cravings for junk food and your body will be able to deal with the inner problems that lead to acne in the first place.
This means no more breakouts, ever.

I don’t know about that. If you want to try something, try ProActive.. It works great! Saying this from personal experience… Oh, and the drinking water will help a lot too and just an overall good diet. But if your anything like me, you just want results and want them fast. I saw a difference with ProActive in about a week or maybe less…
This is exactly what used to work for me in the past and help treat my acne.
Basically you need these things to get started:
Olive Oil
Castor Oil
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
To get rid of extra dirt and oils from your skin surface, you’re required to wash your face smoothly.
You’ll need a warm clean towel and for the next 3 mins, apply it on your face. Thereafter, do this same thing with the cold water for a minute.
Do this same process with cold and warm water about 3-4 times but usually finsh off with cold water after which pat dry with yet another clean towel.
Take a little amount of olive oil and mix thoroughly with a bit of castor oil. Apply the mixture to your acne-prone skin and let it remain there for thirty minutes and then wash with lukewarm water. Pat dry with clean towel and you are all set.
Lots of water is key to healthier skin, and the process you posted here has it’s strong points. The aspirin would cut down on imflammation, and the honey is a great moisturizer; however, if you have severe bacterial acne you should go to a dermatologist and tell them that you want the most natural way to cure it. Asprin is salacytic acid, like the stuff they use in acne washes, but it may be too much in the regular doses, and honey can contribute to a flare up if you just happen to be a bit on the sensitive side or if you are allergic to bees.
