Does laser treatment for acne scars really work?

I was considering having laster treatment for my acne scars and I want to hear from someone who ACTUALLY took the treatment.
Does it hurt?
How long does it take?
Does it really work, is it COMPLETELY gone?

It does work, very well actually. I have a few random ones, but it’s nothing I can’t cover up – and I guess if I had more treatment I could get rid of more.
They shine a laser onto your skin – normally green – and it just feels like a hot- warm trickle going on your skin. Not painful.. actually quite relaxing.
However, it does hurt a little bit if the laser goes over any active spots. But it’s not unbearable – this is coming from me who has the lowest pain threshold known to man, who fainted having her tragus pierced and screamed the house down when she had a tattoo.
It depends how bad the scarring is. I had about 5 treatments, but you may need more depending on the severity. It’s pretty quick when the guy does it – ten minutes a time max really. It’s basically like drawing over your skin where the scars are.. so however long that would take!
I have them and after sitting through the education sessions in the doctor’s office, I opted NOT to get it done. Basically it’s like someone scalded your face off. They have blistering, pustules, and their skin is horribly raw, bleeding in some places. It looks like they have been boiled. Scared the heck out of me. I was told it took 6 weeks to heal. The after results didn’t look all that fantastic either. I had to watch videos and look at pictures and whatnot.
I can tell you from experience (I’m now 35) that you can lessen your scars greatly on your own. If you’ll get yourself on an alternating regimen of over the counter alpha and beta hydroxy cleansers, peels, and microdermabrasion over time your scars will begin to fade. there are alot of side effects of laser ,the worse is cancer any how laser is not gauranteed ——–the best thing is to consult one of the best skin specialist and follow up his or her advises specially if they advise u a certain diet ,hygiene etc
