CYSTIC ACNE HELP PLEASE?
look, i hate acne just as much as the rest of us, but thanks to my parents wonderful genes, i have cystic acne, and its really not bad anymore, but sometimes i get these cycst-like pimples that WILL NOT GO AWAY and they are so f***ing embarrassing, because they’re so deep that they cant even really be covered up. theyre like little hills, and even having one is just absolutely disgusting. does anyone else have this issue? im not talking about the kind of acne you can pop and et rid of, and surface treatments like proactive dont work, because these are deep in the pore. does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of these a little bit more quickly? waiting on these takes weeks sometimes, even when i wash my face a ton and exfoliate. thank you and God Bless!!

I’m not sure if this would help, but I recommend Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato complexion soap for oily and troubled skin. It helps with normal acne and it’s all natural so it definitely shouldn’t harm your skin!
I’m sorry that I can’t be of any more help!
Like you said, it’s genetics. My dad had it horribly, but luckily I didn’t inherit the cystic part; mine was internal, not “wash your face more”. Proactiv didn’t work more me, either. Have you been to a dermatologist? You can take prescriptions to help with cystic acne. Topical creams and such don’t work with cystic acne, but there are many oral meds that you can take now to keep it from occurring. Since I was lucky enough to not have to deal with cystic acne, I’m not 100% on this, but I’m pretty sure dermatologists can lance the acne if you so choose. If you have scarring from it they can also prescribe topical meds to help hide the scars.
i used to have really bad acne thanks to my fathers “wonderful genes”. like nothing worked for me. i would occasionally get cystic pimples and i feel your pain. they take forever to go away and they are huge, embarrassing and painful! anyways, my only suggestion is that you visit a dermatologist. that was the best decision i ever made. cystic acne is a medical problem and can be treated but most OTC products won’t even scratch the surface of curing it. the derm will be able to prescribe you most likely a topical gel or cream to use that will probably contain benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin. clindamycin is an anti-biotic. anti-biotics are pretty much the only thing that will help cystic acne and you can’t get that with products at the store. so make an appointment with a local dermatologist, cystic acne is no fun and not easy to deal with, but they will help you. good luck!
Cystic acne takes much time to heal as the infection is affected deep under ones skin. In most cases the treatment for cystic acne is limited to oral medication and hence it is recommended that all cases need to be taken to a dermatologist. But there are several preventive measures and remedies which can be taken against cystic acne. For those looking for holistic remedies for cystic acne can consult an alternative medicine practitioner, while other more common procedures can easily be performed in the convenience of oonesome with no medical supervision.
Isotretinion is one of the most commonly prescribed drugs for cystic acne treatment. The drug taken in pill form helps to treat inflammation, clogged skin pores, and excess oil production.
For females suffering from cystic acne oral contraceptives are used as a cystic acne remedy. This is considered as a safe cystic acne remedy and helps to suppress overactive sebaceous glands (oil producing). Besides an oral contraceptive, physicians also recommend a synthetic steroid to slow down other hormones which boosts the sebaceous glands.
