   It depends on how severe they are (and I’m not an expert!) but mine aren’t very…heavy for lack of a better word and this lotion has helped some-it hasn’t gotten rid of my scars completely but has definitely lightened them

   I have a friend whose scars are worse though and she goes to a dermatologist who recommended a facial, I’m not sure of the exact name but its a skin peel or something to that effect

   It’s pricier but may be worth it, it all depends on the person

   There are a variety of these treatments for acne scars, usually depending on the type of scar on the skin. There’s punch excision, which is used on very deep scars such as ‘icepick scars’ or ‘boxcar scars’. This involves the excision of the scar and then the edges of the skin are sutured together.

   Meanwhile, laser resurfacing is a treatment that burns the skin up to a certain level. As the skin heals, new skin would then develop which eventually obscures the area where the scar used to be.

   Fillers may also be used to fill in the depressed parts of the skin due to scarring. Fillers used come in different varieties such as collagen and fat. However, the effects of dermal fillers aren’t as long term as the others that were mentioned previously. Dermal fillers require regular re-injections to maintain the smoothing effects on the skin.

   Microdermabrasion!!!
   I recommend this all the way.
   Can’t tell you they will go away, the person doing the facial and microderm can’t either, so don’t let them tell you otherwise.
   The price isn’t that bad if you get a package deal, which should consist of 6 treatments.
   What it is: starts out like a reg facial, the cleansing, then they use a wand(if using diamond tip) that has a rough tip on it(which goes on your face) and while they glide it across your face, it takes off the dead layers of your skin while sucking them up into a tube and into a filter. then they will mask, moisturize, tone and put sunscreen on.
