As I’ve hit my 20s my pores have become MUCH more noticeable & my skin’s become oilier. What do you recommend?
I have sensitive skin. Lately, out of nowhere, I’ve been getting very large almost cystic acne spots on my cheeks and around my nose. Any advice from personal experience, especially those with sensitive, sometimes dry and sometimes oily, would be much appreciated. I’m looking for advice on acne treatments, facial cleansers, instant pimple soothers and foundation recommendations. Thank you!!!
The BareMinerals products I own and they work GREAT for coverage but I feel as though they make these random zits on my face far worse. I read a review before purchasing warning of the the bismuth (I think that’s what it is called) that can wreak havoc some people’s skin, but figure it wouldn’t happen to me. Apparently it does so any other foundation suggestions?
PS Will a facial help? Never had one, seriously considering it.

My advice….wear a bag on your head
Ok I have sensitive/combination skin too.. I use proactiv to keep my skin fresh and the mask that it comes with can work as a spot-treatment for those random blemishes. I have found the best coverage for my face.. what I do is I smooth on a very light moisturizer (oil-free and with spf) right before I put on bare essentials powder concealer.. I apply it with a brush and it covers so perfectly! I never break out from this make up and everything that they have is great for natural coverage, you should definitely try it!! Hope this helps
you should try clean and clear products.
they have tons of different types of daily cleansers and then see your dermatologist about the pimples. but before u spend money on that try a “sensitive solution” type product. other brands are st. ives and noxema. hope that helps and good luck!
my mom, sister, and i have the same problem i recomend
SkinSimple, unplugged, pore refining mask. it works great
The best thing is to go to your doctor for some cream if they are those cystic pimples, no over the counter treatments will really work for those. Facial cleansers you should use Cetaphil because it’s simple and won’t irritate your skin, and since you have a prescription from your doctor you don’t need any fancy face wash. There is no instant pimple soothers, you can use some green concealer under your foundation though to make them less red. And for foundation, honestly mineral would be the best bet. There is nothing in them to cause your acne to worsen. You can get Bare Minerals, Everyday Minerals.. those are the two best mineral foundations I’ve found. The drug store mineral make up gives like no coverage so I would not opt for those.
Mary Kay has great cleansing products and acne treatments as well. When your face is clear…you should consider trying the microdermabrasion at home kit. It’s the same as in office, but hundreds of dollars cheaper. It will minimize the pores and ultimitely reduce, maybe even eliminate the spots from coming back!
