What do you personally think is the most effective treatment available (prescription, over the counter, cream, pill, mask, alternative medicine, massage, etc.) for body acne (non-facial acne)? I want to conquer this problem once and for all.

It doesn’t matter how old you are – anyone can suffer from cystic acne. It’s not easy to treat cystic acne, as it’s usually deeper down and more painful than most regular acne that attacks your face. What’s worse, cystic acne generally lands itself on your face, back, and chest, giving you a three-way pain system. If this sounds like you, then you definitely need to look into these cystic acne treatment options.
1. SkinMedica treatment kit: SkinMedica is one of the leading brands of acne treatment systems on the market. It’s dermatologist-recommended and since it uses both benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, it’s very effective on cystic acne and regular acne alike.

Treatment of Acne Scars
There are a number of treatments out there to battle acne scars. While none of them really give instant results, they can significantly decrease scarring or eliminate them over time, depending on the severity. The idea behind acne scar treatments is that new cells will replace old damaged cells. There are some topical scar treatments that start this process through the creation of healthy skin cells. There are many over the treatements, but it is best to consult a doctor if you are looking for a deep acne scar product. Determining the best acne scar treatment varies from person to person depending on a lot of factors, including the severity of the scar, allergic reactions to treatment, availability of funds and their own body’s response to the treatment.

I have cystic acne and have a zit coming up on the very edge of my lip. Unfortunately, I now look like I have a fat lip and I work in a looks focused office! I can’t use my spot cream that I normally use on my lips b/c it has benzoyl peroxide(spelling I know) in it. Any ideas to at least bring the swelling down? I used a hot washcloth to no avail.

Does anyone know of any good acne products/perscriptions for cystic acne and scarring? I’m currently using Glytone, which helps clear up but I’m tired of wearing make-up to the gym which I shouldn’t even do but it’s better than wearing no make-up.

Although many people are mainly worried about acne on their face, this isn’t the only place people get acne. It is also pretty common to get body acne, which can be just as embarrassing for people to see. Body acne treatment uses a lot of the same products as those used to treat acne on the face, though you need to be careful with some of the treatments, such as benzoyl peroxide, which have a bleaching effect therefore you don’t ruin your good clothes.
The thing to remember when trying to find a good body acne treatment is that each over the counter treatment is a little different, and some will work better for you than others. You will probably have to try at least a few of them to figure out which ones will work the best for you. Make sure that you choose a product with an effective active ingredient. Some of the most effective ingredients include benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, sulphur, and vitamin A. Check the labels to make sure that there is an effective ingredient contained within, and then try to figure out which ingredients or combinations of ingredients work the best to cure you body acne.
